BUSHCRAFT

WEEKEND

Shelter Building, Stargazing and Pine-Needle Tea

Ross Bowyer

Our favourite wilderness guide, Ross Bowyer, will be teaching bushcraft skills that he has learnt from a career in the outdoors, bushcraft and survival. If you don't know Ross, he's a Wilderness Guide and has worked with the likes of Ray Mears, Bear Grylls and Ed Stafford in his career as a TV Survival Consultant.

Itinerary
Friday - 18th September 2020:
Arrive at our accommodation at the stunning Borwick Hall at 7pm ready for an evening meal at around 7.30pm.

Saturday - 19th September 2020:

After breakfast, we meet Ross and venture to some nearby woods to start the day's learning and practising new skills. We'll build shelters to sleep in, make pine-needle tea on a fire we've created, and in the evening we'll enjoy some stargazing (sky permitting!) and chatting with new friends before retiring to our shelters for a well earned sleep.

Sunday - 20th September 2020:
We'll cook pancakes for breakfast on our fire, then have a walk through the woods. You'll learn more about the environment around us; from edible plants and berries to poisono
us trees and other resources, deer or tracks we may come across. The weekend ends at lunchtime on Sunday leaving you plenty of time to travel home, shower and enjoy a well earned rest!

There are showers, toilets, a kitchen with tables and a communal living area for socialising. Bedding and pillows are provided but please bring a towel with you as well as a sleeping bag for the Saturday night.
